Bedford Superstore Power Transmission Tower Relocation
Project Description
Working with Nova Scotia Power and Dumac Energy, Terrain Group facilitated and aided in the placement design of a 103’ high, 68" diameter freestanding utility pole to replace an existing steel-framed utility tower. The placement of this tower was completed as part of the site development for a 70,000 square foot Atlantic Superstore.
The pole placed in this project was the largest of its kind in Nova Scotia and provided a smaller size footprint alternative to the typical quad-leg tower. The pole is supported on a pile foundation. This pole replacement occurred in a high profile area directly at the front of the store. The developer of the site financed the project, and work was completed prior to the store’s opening date.
