Project Description
Canadian Tire Corporation has been a client of the Planning team at Terrain since May 2003 beginning with the development of a planning report and concept plans for a proposed Canadian Tire store in Gander Newfoundland. Since then Terrain has been contracted to complete planning services for over forty of Canadian Tire’s potential development sites across the Atlantic Provinces and has recently been retained to provide our civil engineering services on several projects.

Services Provided
Terrain is a multi-disciplinary company that Canadian Tire utilize in the analysis and development of their new and existing stores. Our planning team provides the project management role and is involved in planning site analysis, due diligence, development of concept plans through to obtaining the relevant planning permits or seeking amendments to Municipal controls when required.

The main product provided by Terrain to Canadian Tire are Planning Site Assessment reports, a comprehensive review of planning controls for a specific site identifying problematic issues and providing potential solutions. As part of the site assessment process Terrain develops a variety of conceptual plans using local planning regulations and design requirements to present Canadian Tire with a visual representation of a proposed development.

In combination with the our conceptual designs Terrain provides Canadian Tire with detailed grading/servicing plans through our engineering department and topographical/boundary plans from our survey division. All departments at Terrain continue to work for Canadian Tire throughout the construction process with on-site monitoring and progress reviews.
