East Hants Water Transmission Main

Project Description
A Servicing Study conducted for MEH identified the need for a dedicated transmission line from the source to the storage reservoirs located in Enfield and Lantz, Nova Scotia. Phase 2 of the work included over two miles of 16-inch diameter water pipe connecting the water treatment plant to the Enfield storage reservoir and Phase 1 in Elmsdale. Route selection of various options was conducted by Terrain Group. Legal survey plans for easement acquisition were prepared for use by the client.

Services Provided
Terrain Group created a servicing concept plan showing various route options. The options were costed and presented to the client for final selection. Detail topographic survey of the selected route was carried out. Legal plans showing the necessary easements associated with the final route selection were also prepared.

Engineering design consisting of plan/profile drawings and details for flush hydrants, air release and vacuum valve chambers and pipe crossings was finalized for approval by the Municipality.
