Fairmount Ridge Subdivision

Project Description
A vacant 30-acre parcel of land in Fairmount, peninsula Halifax, had been previously used as a fill disposal site for construction debris. This site, with marvellous views of the Northwest Arm, is surrounded by a desirable residential neighbourhood. Fairmount Developments planned to develop this site as a residential subdivision for single unit houses. The challenge was to deal with the unsuitable material that had been dumped on the site throughout the years.

Services Provided
Terrain Group drafted numerous concept plans and prepared accompanying cost estimates. Once a feasible concept plan was completed, Terrain prepared detailed engineering and survey plans and gained approvals from the various agencies. Terrain provided complete construction administration, inspection, and certification of the streets and services. The final design included 146 lots.
