Farmington Village

Project Description
The finished development will be a unique residential community representing 200 units, and a projected population of 600.

The project is part of the ACT/FCM program, created by the Federal Government to sponsor innovative land developments.

Services Provided
Terrain Group was selected in 1997 to create an innovative Land-Use Plan for the Farmington Village development, with a unique set of servicing specifications for the Town of Truro, Nova Scotia.

In cooperation with the Town’s Planning and Engineering Departments, Terrain Group created an alternative set of servicing techniques for this development, including new standards for water, sewer, stormwater and street design specifications.

Terrain Group also looked at innovative forms of housing, finally developing a Land-Use plan that included a full-range of housing types including opportunities for home-based businesses and a community centre.
