Lockview Road New Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction

Project Description
Lockview Road is a two-lane minor collector in Fall River, Nova Scotia. A section of the road was renewed in 2002, and an additional section is currently being undertaken for renewal. The work includes a new sidewalk, street widening, curb and gutter storm system, as well as refurbishment of the street structure.

Services Provided
Terrain Group provided detailed design work for the project. Field visits were critical for the project since steep slopes made for difficult access to the properties. Retaining walls were used to facilitate the sidewalk addition along steep slopes. Plan/profile drawings were prepared along with cross-sections every 10 metres and at all driveway locations. The work is scheduled for construction in 2004.
