South Colchester High School

Project Description
This project provided a new school in the South Colchester community and Terrain Group worked as a member of a multi-disciplinary design-build team. The new school, comprised of 110,000 square feet of community and educational space, opened in September 2003. This project was designed and constructed on a tight schedule and benefited from Terrain’s team approach.

Services Provided
The South Colchester High School site consisted of a large portion of undeveloped land, as well as a section of land currently being used for an existing school that was adjacent to a large watercourse. Terrain provided conceptual site layout and detailed site design, including site grading, servicing, erosion and sedimentation control planning, and stormwater management design. During construction, Terrain provided building layout, construction review, and testing services. At the completion of the project, Terrain completed an as-built survey and provided detailed as-built drawings.
